How to check if a new token contract is a honeypot before buying?

Lost funds recently on a newly launched DEX token where you could buy, but sell transactions were completely blocked by malicious contract code.

What automated tools or indicators do you check before clicking buy on Uniswap or Raydium?

Here is a mandatory 30-second checklist before buying any new token:

1. Use Honeypot Checker tools:
- For EVM (ETH, BSC, Base): check on Honeypot.is and TokenSniffer.com.
- For Solana: check on RugCheck.xyz.
2. Key red flags in the audit:
- Mint authority is not revoked (dev can mint unlimited tokens).
- Freeze authority is active (dev can freeze your wallet from selling).
- Top 10 holders own > 30% of supply.
- Sell tax is > 10% or modifiable by the owner at will.
3. Liquidity Lock: Check if LP tokens are burned (sent to null address) or locked on Team Finance / Unicrypt for at least 6 months.
RugCheck on Solana is an essential bookmark. If 'Mint Authority' or 'Freeze Authority' is still enabled, do not touch the token under any circumstances.
